Project overview

Mileo Systems is a German IT consulting company specializing in cloud engineering and digital infrastructure.

Their target customers are businesses looking to modernize their infrastructure, optimize cloud environments, and build more sustainable digital systems.

Their existing website felt generic and disconnected from the technical expertise they offered, relying on inconsistent imagery and a fragmented multi-page experience that made the brand difficult to distinguish.

I was tasked with redesigning their landing page into a more cohesive digital experience, strengthening the visual identity, clarifying the content hierarchy, and bringing the core experience together in one place.

Issues with the previous experience

The old site felt generic and fragmented, making it difficult for Mileo Systems to stand out.

UX Issues

  • Key information was split across multiple pages

  • Limited context around Mileo Systems' services

Visual Issues

  • Generic stock imagery felt interchangeable

  • Mixed visual styles created an inconsistent identity

  • Limited brand expression beyond the existing color palette

Research

Reviewing competing technology consultancies revealed four consistent patterns worth carrying into the redesign:

  • Dark-led visual systems. Tech-focused companies frequently used dark interfaces to establish a stronger technical presence.

  • Consistent graphic language. Stronger brands used a unified visual treatment across imagery, graphics, and content.

  • A clear path to conversion. Experiences moved from value proposition to services and client fit, then credibility and conversion.

  • Tech-forward identities. Competitors made their technical focus apparent through typography, composition, color, and visual language.

Together, these patterns pointed toward a darker, more cohesive visual system that could make Mileo Systems feel distinctly technical.

Brand & constraints

The existing logo and dark navy and orange palette provided the starting point for the new visual identity. I built from these established elements to create a more technical and distinctive direction.

Visual language

I developed a consistent dithered treatment for imagery to create a more distinctive visual language throughout the experience.

Building on the new visual language, I redesigned the site as a single-page experience that takes visitors from Mileo Systems' value proposition through services and credibility to conversion.
